Traditional woollen socks hand knitted in rural Finland. Each pair is hand knitted by one of three experienced Finnish knitters, who bring years of experience and their own unique style to each pair.

Rugged enough for hiking and outdoor wear, these socks will stand up against the worst that winter — and the trail — can throw at them.

Our socks are made from Finnish wool blend and due to their hand crafted nature each pair will vary slightly. These socks truly are handcrafted with love for your feet, whether you're out hiking or relaxing at home.

Why these socks

  • Hand knitted in rural Finland — not machine made
  • Dense, irregular warmth profile regular winter walkers rate highly
  • Built for multi-season trail and house use
  • Each pair varies slightly as genuine handmade work

Best for: regular winter walkers who want one pair built to last multiple seasons.

Care: Wash at 30°. Do not tumble dry.

There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad socks.

FAQ

Are these fully handmade?

Yes. Only pairs labelled Hand-crafted or Handmade are hand knitted in rural Finland.

Why do pairs look slightly different?

Hand knitting means each pair varies — that is expected and part of the craft.

Worth it versus machine-knit pairs?

Best for weekly winter walkers. Occasional walkers get similar warmth from Ultra Warm Finnish or Norwegian Fjord at lower cost.
